Implications of the Theory of Successful Intelligence for Career Choice and DevelopmentYale University The theory of successful intelligence provides a perspective on career choice and development that is somewhat different from the perspective provided by conventional theories of abilities. The article opens with a discussion of some general issues in career choice and development. It then describes the theory of successful intelligence. Next, it presents data validating the theory. Finally, it draws some conclusions.
